Bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater recently set out on a five-city tour to celebrate the launch of the first graphic novel adaptation of her YA series, The Raven Cycle. Stiefvater met more than 1,000 fans at multiple sold-out events, and we’ve gathered some of the highlights.


Stiefvater kicked off the tour on July 29, for The Raven Boys: The Graphic Novel, adapted by Stephanie Williams and illustrated by Sas Milledge, with a sold-out event which took place at Kenmore Middle School in Arlington, Va., hosted by One More Page Books with Friends of the Arlington Public Library. Stiefvater brought along a surprise prop to represent each book character, including this skeleton for character Gansey.


Stiefvater greeted readers during her signing at Kenmore Middle School with the help of bookstore staff.


Long-time fans showed Stiefvater their Raven Boys-themed tattoos and handmade jewelry during her stop in Arlington.


Stiefvater received a warm welcome at Barnes & Noble Union Square in New York City on July 30. Stiefvater filmed a TikTok teasing the next graphic novel in the series; here, eager fans show their excitement for new details about the new book.


On July 31, Stiefvater dropped by the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, Mass., for an event hosted by local bookstore Brookline Booksmith to speak to a sold-out crowd. Here she and prop Gansey make another appearance.


Red Balloon Bookshop hosted Stiefvater for her event held at St. Kate’s Jeanne d’Arc Auditorium in St. Paul, Minn., on August 1, where the author signed copies for fans.


Stiefvater closed out her tour on August 2 at BookPeople in Austin, Tex., to yet another sold-out crowd. Here the author showcases a stuffed raven given to her by a librarian on a previous tour. The raven acts as a representation of character Ronan from The Raven Boys.
