Westchester Book Festival to Launch This Fall
The inaugural Westchester Book Festival will be held in Katonah, N.Y., on November 8. The one-day event will feature special sessions led by industry professionals, as well as a line-up of such authors as Geraldine Brooks, Bill McKibben, and David Grann. Other speakers include Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Patrick Radden Keefe, Emma Straub, and David Wallace-Wells.
The festival was first conceived by W.W. Norton VP John Glusman, who approached Katonah’s town supervisor, Ellen Calves, with the idea last spring. He now serves as the chairman of the event, whose board also includes Michael Lynton, former CEO of the Penguin Group; Karen Sabath, cofounder of the Recorder News; and Kimberly Witherspoon, founding partner of InkWell.
All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the libraries of Katonah, Bedford, and Bedford Hills. Tickets for the Westchester Book Festival will go on sale starting on September 1.
