Books Across Borders Announces 2025 Fall Fellows
Books Across Borders (BAB) has announced its fall 2025 fellows to the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany and the FIL Guadalajara Book Fair in Mexico. In November, Vanessa Martini of Green Apple Books in San Francisco will attend Frankfurt. Barbara Cerda of La Revo Books in Milwaukee; Stephen Krause of Alienated Majesty Books in Austin, Tex.; and Lisa Moser of Julia de Burgos Bookstore in Philadelphia will attend Guadalajara in December.
BAB’s fellowship program sponsors bookshop associates from around the country to attend the world’s premier book fairs, all while “raising booksellers’ industry profiles, supporting their professional development, and encouraging the advocacy and promotion of international literature,” according to the organization. The program includes the opportunity to report on the event in Shelf Awareness and participation on a panel of professional relevance or interest to the fellow.
BAB will announce its Spring 2026 fellows for the RISE Bookselling Conference in Verona, Italy; Salone del Libro in Torino, Italy; and other fairs in late fall.
