HBG Taps Shawn Abraham to Lead International Sales
Shawn Abraham will join Hachette Book Group as VP of international sales, effective September 8. Abraham succeeds Sara High, who started on the international team at Workman in 2003 and continued after HBG acquired the publisher in 2021. She was promoted to VP in May 2024.
Abraham was mostly recently VP of international sales at Sourcebooks, where he had worked on the international team since 2019. At Sourcebooks, Abraham grew its “market share and revenue across all markets,” wrote Hachette group sales executive VP Lauren Monaco. Prior to that, Abraham held leadership positions on the international sales teams at Penguin Random House and Ingram.
Monaco, who has been leading the charge revamping HBG’s sales department since her appointment in fall 2023, added that Abraham is “excited to bring this experience to Hachette Book Group, supporting our impact worldwide.”
