2025 Killer Nashville Award Winners Announced
Killer Nashville, a crime-oriented conference, has chosen the best writing of 2024 in 19 crime subgenres for the Silver Falchion and Claymore Awards, bestowing the top honor on Liv Constantine’s The Next Mrs. Parish (Bantam). Killer Nashville founder Clay Stafford made the announcement last weekend at the 20th anniversary Killer Nashville Awards dinner, held in Franklin, Tenn.
The Silver Falchion Award selects the best book of 2024 from winners in categories including Best Comedy, Best Historical, and Best Literary. The Next Mrs. Parish, which won the Best Suspense category, took home the award for Best Book.
The Claymore Award uses the same system, but goes to the best 50 unpublished pages of a manuscript, play, or screenplay. This year, the Claymore went to Janel Nichols’s Lilias of the Valley.
