Lonely Planet to Launch New Book Line

Lonely Planet will launch its new Journey series this fall, overseen by guidebook development senior editor Melinda Anderson. The line spotlights the world’s “most iconic routes,” according to the publisher, and will kick off at the end of September with three titles dedicated to Scotland’s North Coast, Camino De Santiago in Spain, and Route 66 in the U.S.

For its inaugural year, the series will comprise a total of eight titles, including its first batch of three. Future titles will focus on the Orient Express, Pacific Coast Highway, and Iceland Ring Road, all of which are slated for spring 2026.
