The two Jennifers in question are editor Enderlin at St. Martin's Press and author Crusie, whose sexy, commercial women's fiction (Fast Women and Welcome to Temptation) have so impressed the house that it has just signed her to a new three-book contract that runs into seven figures, with two more books on the old contract still to run. "We're anxious to sew her up," said Enderlin, who made the deal, for U.S. and Canadian rights with agent Meg Ruley at Jane Rotrosen. The next Crusie book is Faking It, set for next August. The new ones, far in the future, are untitled as yet.
