Morrow's Jennifer Brehl shelled out a "serious" seven figures for no fewer than four new books by trendy, offbeat novelist Christopher Moore, whose Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, was a bestseller a year or so ago. The deal was made with agent Nick Ellison for North American plus audio and includes two "major" books, a novel about death called A Dirty Job and an untitled one. The lesser ones are The Stupidest Angel, a satirical Christmas book, and a sequel to an earlier vampire tale called You Suck: A Love Story. Next up for Moore at Morrow is a fantasy novel about whales and men called Fluke.
