Scholastic has appointed Clifford Janey, formerly superintendent of the Rochester, N.Y., school district, v-p, education. In this newly created position, Janey will work with large urban school districts, state education departments and national school reform organizations to help develop and implement strategies for improving student performance. He will report to Ernest Fleishman, senior v-p, education.
