Laura Zigman, whose Animal Husbandry was an early "chick lit" hit, has signed with Warner's Amy Einhorn for a new, untitled novel about a woman who's the family breadwinner and her efforts to cope with child and job. Agent Theresa Park at Sanford Greenburger, who made the sale, also worked with Richard Green at CAA to make a strong six-figure movie deal with Tom Hanks's Playtone production company, with Nia Vardalos of My Big Fat Greek Wedding set to script and star. Zigman's last novel was Her, from Knopf four years ago.
