Sales at Educational Development Corp. rose 15.6% in the fiscal year ended February 28, rising to $30.6 million. Operating earnings increased 16.4%, to $2.4 million. Growth came entirely from EDC's books-at-home unit, which had a 22.4% sales increase, to $22.9 million. The division added some 2,000 new salespeople in the year, finishing fiscal '05 with 8,800 consultants. Publishing division sales slipped to $7.5 million from $7.6 million.
