Earlier this month, the UConn Co-op and the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center held their 15th annual Connecticut Children's Book Fair in Storrs. Nearly 4,000 parents, children, collectors and teachers turned out for the two-day event, which benefits the Northeast Children's Literature Collection. Among the authors and illustrators participating in this year's fair were Walter Wick, Wendell Minor, Jane Yolen and Mordicai Gerstein, who mingled with such characters as Tacky the Penguin and Winnie the Pooh.
